I can”t believe I”m pimping myself out like this, but here goes…

I thought I”d give it a try, and it certainly might be worth the trouble for any one who wants some Suspects swag.

Added on March 7 2005 -> I thought I’d add a little bit to the end of this post to explain what I did to get this ball rolling…

I signed up on what’s called a “conga line” at this site, freebieauthority.com. You put your name at the bottom of the list and you sign up under the referral id of the person at the top of the list. When the person at the top of the list gets his free iPod, you move up one space. It’s the classic pyramid scheme setup, except it does deliver the goods… 6 months later. Be warned… if you want free Suspects CDs, you gotta sign up via this link, not any link you see on freebieauthority.com!!!

Most people balk at the process ‘cuz it involves using a credit card and actually paying for something. I was reluctant to go through with it, but in the end the “offer” i completed was not too bad: Blockbuster Online. It’s Blockbuster’s Netflix-style DVD in the mail service, and since I already enjoy Netflix, I didn’t feel there was too much risk. Here’s what I got for my $9.99:

1. A bunch of rentals for a month.
2. Immediately upon signing up, a printable coupon good for 2 free rentals at my local BB store.
3. Along with that coupon, a coupon for buy 1 get 1 ice cream at the BB store.
4. If you continue to use the service, you’ll get those same coupons every month.

I think that If I wasnt a satisfied Netflix user already, I’d have probably continued to use the BB Online service, free iPod or not!

Anyways, I know I sound like a real huckster here trying to con somebody into doing something they don’t want to do, but I’m really just trying to make you happy and get you some free CDs!
