We’re Playing the International Festival (and Other News)

Saturday, April 17th, 2010

A lot has been going on, and we haven’t been keeping you up-to-date. Our apologies! Here’s the deal:

  1. Steve Ruth is the most talented member of The Suspects
Steve has moved from trumpet to bass, and his flawless performance at The Continental Club on April 10th proves he’s the man to beat when we count up our musician points when this is all over.
  2. We’re playing the International Festival on April 24th
By itself, this is a pretty cool bit of news; all ages show, outdoors, lot’s of really cool bands, George Clinton(!)… the list goes on. What makes it extra-special for us is who’s coming to our 60-minute piece of the party: ex-Suspects Joe Cote (keyboards) and Jason Davis (bass) will be playing with us, along with a new horn section recruit (look for a tall guy named Tandy carrying a sax), bringing your total Suspects count to eleven people on stage. We’ve got a blistering set planned out and you need to come see it happen.
  3. iTunes, eMusic, Rhapsody, Amazon MP3 Store
We now have all four of our releases up on the above-mentioned music stores. If you’re a CD kinda person, please know that we have moved all physical product sales to our favorite indie music store, Sig’s Lagoon.
  4. We’re very social.
We have a Facebook page. Please “become a fan”!

Thanks for your support!

The Suspects Media BLITZ!

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Not only do The Suspects play this Thursday, July 30th at the Continental Club, but you’ll be seeing our faces in the Houston Chronicle’s entertainment section that day as well. Our show on the 30th is sponsored by 29-95.com, a new Houston entertainment website, and the amount of press that it’s generating borders on overload. Soak it up, ska lovers!

Again, Jay Lee has managed to do something that no one else was able to do between the years 1993 and 2002: make The Suspects photogenic. Please visit Jay’s site and dig on his skill.
